This May will see the Police & Crime Commissioner Elections. The Conservative candidate in Devon & Cornwall will again be Alison Hernandez, fighting the position for the second time having won it in 2016. Over the last four years she has been highly active both in her role throughout the two counties.
This month she will be appearing and taking questions on three occassions within the Tiverton & Honiton constituency.
On Thursday Feb 13th she will be taking questions in Halberton, Near Tiverton as a guest of the Halberton Community Association, more details about this can be found in this DevonLive article.
On Saturday the 22nd she will be in Bampton at an event organised by Bampton Conservatives. More details of their coffee morning with elected representatives can be found HERE.
On Friday 28th she will be appearing at a Police Community Liaison Meeting at 7pm to be held at All Saints Village Hall, Nr Axminster EX13 7LX. Local Conservative Councillor Ian Hall is one of the organisers and said "I would like this invitation to be communicated to like minded stakeholders, who are looking to better understand and look for solutions towards the present and future Policing of our very rural part of Devon, that shares the borders of South Somerset and West Dorset. To provide a forum through which the police team can receive feedback from communities; The Commissioner will be there to publicly answer your questions about policing and crime. If anyone would like help on a personal level where they feel the police are letting them down they can directly contact her office ."
The full campaign will be underway very soon and it is important that our area turns out to vote on 7th May and makes our voice heard.
